   Hurricane Preparedness

During the hurricane season, make sure you are prepared for an emergency evacuation.  You never know when a storm may head your way, and you only have a few days to get  together your most important information and items you want to pack with you.  Always have a plan for an evacuation, with a route included.  Note the hotel names and numbers to the area you plan to evacuate to, and remember to book early or you may find you and your family really far from home.  You have 24 hours to cancel the room if needed.  Make sure you know where to quickly locate your papers and all important phone numbers.  This should include insurance information, local city and county information, social security cards, bank information, and so on.  You may also want to take your address book with your neighbors name and numbers to get in touch with them as well.
